STS2 Patch Notes — 2024-09-06

Got another patch for you all today and, because of PAX, it's another small one 🤏 Most of the content changes here are actually reworks of Tezcatara's and Zlatir's choices, which are in preparation for a new Ancient coming within the next couple weeks!

CONTENT:

Ironclad:

• Reworked Stomp card: “Deal 8 damage. hits an additional time if you've played at least 2 attacks this turn.”

Potions & Relics:

• Reworked Amethyst Bangle relic: “Card rewards can now contain colorless cards.”

Ancients:

• Removed Tezcatara’s Kindle options
• Reworked Tezcatara’s Ember choice: now only affects basic Strikes
• Reworked Vlad’s Wealth choice: “Gain 999 gold. All but 1 shop becomes a ? room”
• Reworked Zlatir’s Acknowledgement choice: no longer adds Scorned to cards
• Reworked Zlatir’s Immortal choice: now gives you Cursed Blood (gain 50% less block) instead of 4 Decay
• Reworked Zlatir’s Power choice: gives you 1 Folly (while in hand, take 1 damage whenever you play a card) instead of 3 Normalities

BALANCE:

Regent:

• Nerfed Parry card: no longer Forges

Colorless Cards:

• Changed Anointed card: upgrade changed from Innate -> Retain

Enemies:

• Changed Furry Worm Crawler:

- Damage decreased from 5 -> 4

- Strength gain increased from 5 -> 7

• Changed Nibbit:

- Butt damage increased from 13 -> 14

- Slice damage and Block increased from 6 -> 7

• Buffed Shrinker Beetle: Stomp damage increased from 15 -> 16
• Nerfed The Legend:

- No longer gains Block or Plating on its Buff turn

- No longer starts with Plating

- Weak applied on its Beat Up turn decreased from 2 -> 1

- Sealed Sword’s Herald of Tempests card's starting damage increased from 1 -> 11

ART:

• Added Tezcatara animations
• Added playtester beta art from the Byrdlett server
• Added Molten Fist card VFX
• Added colored card trails for Silent, Defect, Regent, Necrobinder

USER INTERFACE & EXPERIENCE:

• Added the keyword Eternal (cannot be removed from your deck)
• Ethereal hovertip now also always comes with Exhaust hovertip
• Overhauled topbar node properties to prevent text shrinkage and overlap
• Resized map drawing buttons a bit
• The dev console can now be opened by the ' key to better support Swedish keyboards

WORDING:

• Reworded Zlatir’s Beauty choice
• Updated Stomp card’s wording to make it more clear how much damage you are doing

BUG FIXES:

• Photon Blade card now has correct card selection prompt
• Fixed issue preventing you from previewing cards in deck view
• Fixed softlock on power swoosh
• Selecting cards in hand correctly cancels queued card plays
• Strength from a previous combat no longer affects upgrade previews in rest sites
