New patch is here with some changes to events, a big balance pass, and UX/UI updates!

CONTENT

Ironclad:

BALANCE

Necrobinder:

  • Buffed Borrowed Time card: self-Doom decreased from 6 -> 3
  • Changed Cleanse card:
  • Block decreased from 6(9) -> 4(6)
  • No longer Exhausts
  • Nerfed Deathbringer card: Weak decreased from 2 -> 1
  • Changed Fetch card: rarity decreased from Rare -> Uncommon
  • Buffed Haunt card: HP loss increased from 5(7) -> 9(11)
  • Nerfed Negative Pulse card: Block decreased from 7(8) -> 5(6)
  • Buffed Reap card: damage increased from 26(33) -> 27(33)
  • Changed Sentry Mode card: upgrade changed from +1 card -> -1 Energy cost
  • Nerfed Shroud card: Energy cost increased from 1 -> 2
  • Changed Sleight of Flesh card:

Regent:

  • Changed Sword Sage card: upgrade changed from Forge 1 less time -> -1 Energy cost

Enemies:

  • Nerfed Guardbot: HP decreased from 23(24)-28(29) -> 21(22)-25(26)
  • Nerfed Hatchlings: damage decreased
  • Nerfed Mad Crab: no longer applies Frail
  • Nerfed Normal Toadpoles fight: now has one less Toadpole
  • Nerfed Ovicopter: damage and HP decreased
  • Changed Phantasmal Gardeners:
  • Damage decreased
  • Moveset changed to include multihits less
  • Now scales Strength gain with Ascension instead of additional hits
  • Skittish Power Block increased from 4 -> 6
  • Nerfed Rock Bowlbug: Headbutt move damage decreased from 17(19) -> 15(17)
  • Nerfed Scroll of Biting: Chew move damage from 6(7) -> 5(6)
  • Changed Sludge Spinner:
  • HP decreased

  • Nerfed Stabbot: damage decreased from 16(18) -> 14(15)

Ancients:

  • Buffed Neow's Gift Box blessing: now gives you the relics before the cards, giving the chance for the relics to affect the cards (ex. if one of the relics is Molten Egg, the Strike you receive will be upgraded)
  • Buffed Pael's Relax blessing: Block increased from 13(17) -> 15(17)

Events:

  • Changed Lantern Key event: guarantees first Act 3 unknown room is War Historian, Repy event
  • Changed The Endless Conveyor event:
  • Feeding Frenzy card Strength increased from 3 -> 5
  • Feeding Frenzy card no longer Exhausts
  • Changed Tea Master event: swapped Tea costs
  • Changed The Legends Were True event:
  • Now requires 10+ HP to appear
  • Changed Arrhythmia (now Poor Sleep) card: now an Unplayable curse with Retain

ART

  • Ambush card now uses the old Sneaky Strike card portrait art
  • Junk Ball card now uses old Barrage card portrait art
  • Added Phantasmal Gardner animations
  • Updated miscellaneous event VFX

USER INTERFACE & EXPERIENCE

  • Added a half-second delay before you can select cards from a Choose a Card screen (Ex. Discovery card)
  • Added logo animation with option to turn it off (SFX is temporary)
  • Card grid no longer includes scrollbar if there are only 2 rows of cards
  • Card Library now shows a lock over cards that are locked by the Timeline
  • Epoch slots that are complete get a magnifying glass when hovering them in the Timeline now
  • Fixed card stutter when opening a card view with a single row
  • Removed Game Over screen's room history as it will be redone later
  • Pandora's Box relic now has an Accept button
  • Players are now prevented from looking at their map or deck while the Merchant robes animation is playing
  • In the Relic Collection, Relics in the Ancient category are now categorized by Ancient
  • Relics which are locked by the timeline display as locked in the Compendium
  • Rewards' Skip button no longer pulses until you select all rewards
  • Souls from Funerary Mask now preview underneath card pile screens
  • Added controller navigation to patch notes screen

WRITING

  • Cards like Barrage that hit a variable number of times now say "Hits N times" instead of "Attacks N times"
  • Cards that deal varying amounts of damage based on the state of combat (Perfected Strike, Bully, etc.) are now worded in a way that prioritizes the actual amount of damage they'll deal
  • Renamed Hone card -> Ravage
  • Renamed Arrhythmia curse card -> Poor Sleep
  • Renamed Impossible Pyre event -> Unrest Site
  • Removed the word "The" from several event titles
  • Updated text for Endless Conveyor event
  • Updated text for Unrest Site (previously Impossible Pyre) event
  • Fixed typo in Trash Heap event
  • Fixed typo in the Nemesis Epoch

BUG FIXES

General:

  • Can no longer use hotkey to open Run History from the Game Over screen
  • Clones created by effects like Dual Wield card now properly retain extra damage from Terraforming card
  • Fixed Ascender's Bane card art
  • Fixed broken Run History when you transition between single and multiplayer entries
  • Fixed proceed hotkey in Merchant room
  • Fixed softlock when starting a run with the Sealed Deck modifier
  • Fixed the yellow healthbar animation getting stuck if the healthbar bounds change
  • If you close the feedback screen early, the success dialog no longer gets stuck
  • Leaving a Rest Site quickly after healing no longer desaturates the next screen
  • The Daily screen no longer softlocks on the last day of the month
  • Creatures are now unhighlighted when you switch back to mouse mode

Defect:

  • Feral card no longer triggers on the turn it was played if another 0-cost attack was played before it

Necrobinder:

  • Master's Teachings relic no longer triggers when a 3-cost card with a reduced cost until played (from an effect like Veilpiercer card) is played
  • Snap card now allows you to apply Retain to Statuses and Curses

Regent:

  • Fixed an issue where playing both Resonance and Foregone Conclusion cards could cause Resonance to not work
  • Monarch's Gaze card no longer applies negative Strength to dead creatures

Potions & Relics:

  • Membership Card relic no longer reduces costs by slightly more than 50% at the shop it's purchased at when playing with the Greedy Shopkeeper ascension
  • Fixed an issue where The Boot relic would not trigger when dealing 4.5 damage prior to rounding down (for example, when dealing 3 damage to an enemy with Vulnerable)
  • Fixed interaction between Dingy Rug and Glass Eye relics
  • The Courier relic now respects the rarity/type constraints of the slot

Enemies:

  • Fixed an issue where killing a Minion and a primary enemy with Doom at the same time could cause a softlock
  • Fixed an issue where Mecha Knight monster could cause a softlock when dying to Doom power
  • Fixed missing Myte SFX
  • Fixed Sludge Spinners attack VFX when it gets interrupted
  • Fixed softlock when you kill multiple Decimillipede segments at once
  • Owl Magistrate's Soar no longer wears off until it lands
  • Fixed Phantasmal Gardener's multi-attack animation
  • Powdered Demise potion debuff can no longer cause the Dreamer to skip its Dream move
  • Soul Nexus' Soul Wither power can no longer break the 20 damage threshold of Beating Remnant relic
  • Tough Egg healthbars are no longer offset incorrectly

Ancients:

  • Tezcatara's Dust Bunny relic hovertip now includes preview for Soot card
  • Neow no longer appears twice in Run History if you save and reload at the start of a Daily run

Events:

  • Added missing loss quote for the Grave of the Forgotten event
  • Mad Science card with Focus option can now randomly select Eternal cards to transform
  • Punch Off event now shows an Injury preview for the first option

Multiplayer:

  • Neow's Silver Crucible relic now applies even when the FTUE is active for the local player
  • You can now join games loaded from saves that contain deprecated content
