This week's build introduces various bug fixes and balance changes, some new pretty new art and VFX (shoutout to the Defect's precious orbs), and a new Ancients system... whatever that could be!
PS - if anyone (like me) kept on inadvertently killing yourself while playing with the new Necrobinder, her HP loss cards now glow red when they're going to kill you! Had to give that one a shoutout 😅

Necrobinder:
- Deprecated Despair card
- Deprecated Fetch card
Misc:
- Implemented Ancients system
- Added Vlad
BALANCE:Ironclad:
- Breakthrough now causes HP loss before dealing damage to be consistent with other HP loss cards
Silent:
- Changed Blade Dance: now Exhausts
Necrobinder:
- HP increased from 9 -> 13
- Now starts with a 10 card deck! (Losing 1 Strike and 1 Defend)
- Doom now triggers at the END of the affected creature's turn
- Reworked End of Days: “Apply 39(49) Doom to ALL enemies. Destroy enemies with more Doom than HP. Exhaust.”
- Changed Sap Will:
- Damage decreased from 14(18) -> 7(11)
- Changed Shared Fate: no longer makes you lose more Strength when upgraded
- Buffed Soul Prison: Strength loss increased from 6(9) -> 7(10).
Regent:
- Reworked Gamma Beam: “Deal 8(12) damage to ALL enemies. Gain [E]. Draw 1 card. Exhaust.”
- Buffed Comet:
- Vulnerable and Weak application increased from 2 -> 3
- Changed Genesis: now gives strength at the end of the turn instead of waiting till the start of the next player's turn
- Reworked Rant and Rave: “Deal 11(15) damage to ALL enemies. Gain ⭐.”
- Reworked Seven Stars: “If you have 7 ⭐, deal 7(10) damage to ALL enemies and gain 7(10) Block. Otherwise Gain ⭐.”
- Changed Stardust: now is an X cost card (otherwise functions the same)
Enemies:
- Changed Act 3 Knights normal encounter: Decreased number of random Knights from 3 -> 2
- Nerfed Ceremonial Beast: Frail application decreased from 2 -> 1
- Completely reworked Byrdonis.
- Nerfed Flail Knight:
- Breaker now applies 1 Frail instead of 2 Vulnerable
- Moveset frequency changes
- Minor damage tweaks on all moves
- Breaker damage increased from 6 -> 8
- Flail damage decreased from 20 -> 18
- Ram damage increased 12 -> 13
- Nerfed Lieutenant:
- Damage lowered from 15 -> 11
- Moveset changes to be less randomized and less aggressive
- No longer gains strength when attacking.
- Changed Nibbit:
- HP randomized between 41-43 instead of always 43
- Strength gain increased from 1 -> 2
- AI changed to no longer Headbutt multiple turns in a row and does not allow both Nibbits to headbutt at the same time
- Reworked Phrog Parasite:
- Wrigglers’ Parasite-applying move replaced with a Wounding bite move
- Moveset frequency changes.
- Updated Workerbug Egg monster: now spawns a hatchling in 3 turns
- Added Glory rest site assets
- Updated Defect orb art
Ironclad:
- Hovering over Primal Force+ now shows a preview for Giant Rock+
Necrobinder:
- Run history now reflects damage taken by Osty
- Plating on Osty no longers procs if Osty is dead
- Bedlam Beacon event now uses Osty max HP for its HP loss threshold
- Bird Faced Urn relic now heals Osty instead of Necro
- Block gained from Despair now prioritizes Osty
- Soul Buddy relic now applies health gain to Osty instead of Necrobinder
- Enfeebling Touch no longer gets rid of negative strength
- Hand of Greed can no longer be generated by Spectrum Shift
- Previewing Heel upgrade no longer actually upgrades Heel
- Vulnerable on Osty is now reflected in then enemy intent damage preview
- Vulnerable/Weak no longer ticks down on the first turn it’s applied to Osty
Regent:
- Crush Under now has Vulnerable hovertip
- Decree of Unmaking is now labeled correctly
Enemies:
- Enemies will now correctly randomize their HP values between a Min and Max range
- Fixed softlock on Thieving Hopper escaping after getting stunned by Binding Chains card
- In the Phrog Parasite encounter, Wrigglers now wait to spawn until the Phrog Parasite's death animation has finished playing
Events:
- Reloading on event combats no longer softlocks
- Text now loads correctly after choosing "Pick a fight" in the "The Round Tea Party" event
Misc:
- Can no longer spam relic rewards button to double proc.
- Card removal cost at shop no longer resets on game reload
- Corrected Plague Carrier power hover tip description
- Player no longer gains block if combat is over
- Fixed “hand cramp” caused by card hover error
- Fixed treasure asset cutting off at the top
- HP loss decreasing in card upgrades is now highlighted green
- Map close button no longer disappears if you change the resolution
- Path dots are now the same color as other traveled map node colors instead of black
- Relic counters no longer show up in run history
- Right-clicking to cancel cards now updates orb visuals
- Run history now displays that you have won in the death description area
- Run history now includes cards gained
- Improved Solar Flare wording
- Adjusted fast mode timings when selecting map node
- Window now recenters when you change the resolution settings
- Can now preview cards in Neow bundle screen
- Can now right-click card in card potion selection to preview
- Card flash now can glow red
- Necrobinder HP loss cards now glow red if they are going to kill you
- When Headbutt is played, a text prompt now appears to remind you of what you are selecting a card for
- Implemented card trail VFX
- Implemented map node selection VFX
- Fixed node memory leak during character selection
- Reduced load time by 38%
- Reduced VRAM usage to under 2.5Gb
