It's build time! Highlights: Regent is getting a bunch of cards (many of which should give him some more defensive options), two brand new bosses for Act 2, and numerous Silent changes. Also heads up that your run histories have been broken once again; while it shouldn't impact anything, if you try to view your previous run histories they won't display and you may encounter a softlock.

CONTENT:

Silent:

  • Deprecated Expertise and Quick Slash cards

Regent:

  • Added new Attack card: Heirloom Hammer
  • Added new Skill cards: I Am Invincible, Parry, Delegate, Guards!, Constellation, Neutron Aegis, Fool, Orbit, Pillar of Creation

Colorless Cards:

  • Added new Attack cards: Gold Axe, Bolas, Thrumming Hatchet
  • Added new Skill cards: Anointed, Eternal Armor

Enemies:

  • Added new Act 2 bosses: Insect Repulsor and Knowledge Demon
BALANCE:

Silent:

  • Changed Accelerant:
- Cost lowered from 3 -> 2

- Upgrade changed from cost reduction -> triggering an additional time

  • Changed Catalyst: rarity upshifted from Uncommon -> Rare
  • Changed Reflex: rarity downshifted from Uncommon -> Common
  • Changed Snakebite:
- Cost lowered from 1 -> 0

- Damage lowered from 4(6) -> 2(3)

- Poison lowered from 6(7) -> 4(5)

Regent:

  • Alignment card buffed from 3(4) stars -> 4(5) stars
  • Changed Glimmer: now only puts one card on top of your draw pile
  • Changed Manifest Victory and Manifest Authority cards: both now exhaust
  • Changed Minion swarm -> Minion Dive Bomb:
- Uncommon - Attack - 1

- “Deal 10(14) damage. Gain 1 Star for each card containing "Minion" played this combat.”

  • Reworked Convergence:
- Skill - Uncommon - 2

- “Gain 6(9) Block. Gain 3 Stars. Draw 3 Cards. Exhaust.”

  • Changed Spectrum Shift:
- Cost lowered from 2 -> 1

- Now only adds 1 card each turn

- Upgrade turns it into an upgraded colorless card

  • Changed Stardust: damage buffed from 3(4) -> 4(5)
  • Changed Wrought in War: reworked to not care about killing enemies and to exhaust
  • Deprecated Royal Corona and Solar Flare cards

Potions & Relics:

  • Changed Reptile Trinket: Strength gain lowered from 4 -> 3

Enemies:

  • Changed Phrog Parasite encounter:
- Wrigglers will alternate moves so that only half are attacking at once

- Phrog Parasite HP lowered from 81-86 -> 61-64

- Phrog Parasite no longer has the 20 damage leap move, instead goes back to infecting after it attacks

- Phrog Parasite's Infection status now deals damage instead of HP loss

  • Changed Kin encounter:
- Kin Follower Boomerang damage from 3x2 -> 5x2

- Kin Follower HP increased from 60 -> 62-68

- Kin Leader no longer has healing move

- Kin Leader Soul Grenade move changed from 8 damage + 1 Weak -> 9 damage + 2 Weak

  • Changed Nibbits: moveset AI changed, now after buffing it does its larger attack
  • Changed Vantom: no longer applies Weak
ART:
  • Updated Doll Room and Potion Courier event art
  • The Infection status is now covered with worms!
  • Added layered noise VFX and saturation examples
  • Updated Slippery Bridge event to have ambient rain VFX
  • Antlion now has a unique background!
USER INTERFACE & EXPERIENCE:
  • Improved card icons in Run History screen
  • Create VFX container for event layout to more easily add ambient VFX into event rooms
  • Improved tweens, colors, defaults for submenu buttons in main menu
  • Added new emoji data
  • Placeholder skill portrait + remove pre-loading run history assets from cards
  • Changed Regent Star Counter position in combat UI and card + outline color when on cards
  • Scooted around Kin followers so they don’t overlap when they become Kin leaders
  • Updated card assets and coloring method for Run History screen
  • Updated quest card title color from green to dark orange
BUG FIXES:

Silent:

  • Master Planner card now has Sly hovertip

Regent:

  • Seven Stars card now glows only if it has <=7 stars

Potions & Relics:

  • Fixed Pocketwatch interaction with strikes automatically played by Hellraiser

Enemies:

  • Fixed handcramp with Axe Bots

Event:

  • Fix softlock at run end if Hoarder or Doll Room was encountered during the run

Misc:

  • Enchantment previews now properly display how the enchanted card would be changed
  • Fixed card preview freezing in screen if combat ends while preview is happening
  • Loading into completed combat room now loads player visual correctly
  • On launch, display is properly set for Fullscreen now + UX: MacOS fullscreen hotkey is cmd+ctrl+f
  • When ticking Fullscreen on, it now detects the current display the game is on
git status
  • Slippery only reduces damage to HP
  • The "Show Upgrades" tickbox on various card grid screens now works properly
  • When "show upgrades" is checked, the card preview screen now displays hovertips for the upgraded card instead of the base card
  • Your deck order no longer changes when you click "show upgrades"
